The Renewable Fuels Association is proud to announce David Whikehart, director of product supply and optimization at Marathon Petroleum Co., as the keynote speaker at the 19th annual National Ethanol Conference in Orlando, Fla. Whikehart will be speaking on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 8:45 a.m. Eastern.

Whikehart currently manages the petroleum fuel and biofuels supply chain for Marathon Petroleum Co. and leads their biofuels manufacturing interests which include joint ventures with The Andersons Inc. He joined Marathon Petroleum Co. in 1981 as a project process engineer and has served many different roles within the company before becoming the director of product supply and optimization in 2011.

“David will be able to provide the NEC audience with a very unique perspective of the policy and marketing forces affecting the ethanol industry today. His responsibilities at Marathon place him at the nexus of ethanol production and gasoline refining. He understands the value of ethanol to refiners and the role of consumers in determining fuel choices at the pump,” said Bob Dinneen, president and CEO of the RFA. “I think it is critical that we be open to the message of our customer, and I am very grateful to have David join us and look forward to hearing his thoughts on future trends and policies affecting the U.S. gasoline market.”

Registration is open for the Renewable Fuels Association’s 19th annual National Ethanol Conference: Falling Walls, Rising Tides. Since 1996, the RFA’s National Ethanol Conference (NEC) has been recognized as the preeminent conference for delivering accurate, timely information on marketing, legislative and regulatory issues facing the ethanol industry.
