The U.S. EPA is requesting nominations for its Mobile Sources Technical Review Subcommittee, which provides the Clean Air Act Advisory Committee with independent advice, council and recommendations on the scientific and technical aspects of programs related to mobile source air pollution and its control.
Professionals representing energy and fuel industry interests are among those the EPA is seeking. Several criteria are used to evaluate nominees, including experience working with fuel or renewable fuel producers, along with experience working with agricultural producers, distillers, processors and shippers of biofuels. A full list of criteria is available in the notice.
The committee currently features a member representing the biofuels sector. Christopher Standlee, executive vice president of Abengoa Energy, is a current member of the subcommittee. A full list of members is available on the EPA website.
