Bobby Likis featured Judd Hulting, commodities manager at Patriot Renewable Fuels LLC, Annawan, Illinois, in his two-hour Saturday morning radio show on March 14.  Bobby Likis Car Clinic is broadcast by a number of radio stations, as well as being available on iTunes radio and at

Likis’ interview with Hulting started with a discussion on distillers grains and the number of foreign customers from Asian and European countries hosted by the ethanol producer. Hulting explained that between incoming corn and outgoing container loads of distillers grains, about 250 to 300 trucks are unloaded and loaded Monday through Friday at the plant. That includes about 50 containers a day loaded with DDGS for exports.

In the nine-minute interview, Hulting and Likis also discussed ethanol exports, and in particular, Brazil’s use of ethanol in vehicles. The South American country recently boosted its blend rate to 27 percent ethanol, to be used by the same brands and models of vehicles driven in the U.S.

Likis has been a supporter of U.S. ethanol, often interviewing industry spokesmen on his weekly Car Clinic program.  Past interviews can be found on the “Bobby Shares the Mic with ...” page on his website. It includes interviews with Delayne Johnson, Quad County Corn Processors,  Jeff Oestmann, East Kansas Agri-Energy, and several staff members from the Renewable Fuels Association, including Bob Dinneen, Geoff Cooper, Robert White and Kelly Davis. The RFA has sponsored a number of CarClinic drawings, providing $250 gift cards to program sweepstakes winners.
