New York bill calls for ethanol-free fuel to be sold at marinas

Legislation pending in the New York State Assembly aims to allow filling stations located within marinas to sell motor fuel that does not contain ethanol.

The legislation, A.5494, was first introduced in February 2015. It was reintroduced in January and referred to the Assembly Environmental Conservation Committee. On April 11, the committee heard the bill.

According to information published by the NY General Assembly, similar legislation has been considered several times since 2011.
