NCGA Gives Sen. Voinovich President's Award for RFS Efforts

By | August 01, 2003
The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) honored Sen. George Voinovich, R-Ohio, with its President's Award, an honor given to leaders who demonstrate great commitment to U.S. corn farmers. NCGA president Fred Yoder selected Voinovich because of his efforts in promoting the ethanol industry and supporting the renewable fuels standard (RFS) included in the energy bill being debated by Congress. He is also reworking the highway trust fund, which he hopes will also be added to the nation's energy bill.
