Plants Set for Construction in West Texas

Panhandle Energies LLC, a Shreveport, La., corporation, has announced plans to build two $40 million ethanol plants in west Texas, the first in the state, The Associated Press reported Aug. 6.

One plant will be built in Dumas while the other will be located in Sunray. A third plant in Perryton was also mentioned as a possibility.

Each plant would produce 40 mmgy with the capacity to expand to 80 mmgy.
