A grand opening ceremony was held June 15 at a new ethanol plant in Grant County, S.D. Members of South Dakota's congressional delegation were in attendance, and organizers gave tours of the 40 mmgy plant. The plant was designed and built by Broin Companies for the Northern Growers Cooperative, a 650-member group. It will use 14.3 million bushels of corn a year. Broin will also manage the facility and market its ethanol under Ethanol Products.
