Joana Hassan re-joins USGC as ethanol programs coordinator

Joana Hassan re-joined the U.S. Grains Council on August 26 as the ethanol programs coordinator at the organization’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.

In this role, Hassan will provide support to the global ethanol market development team, organize staff and member travel, make arrangements for visiting teams and facilitate program planning, correspondence, reports, data and information management and contracting.

Hassan worked in the same position from September 2017 to June 2018. Since leaving the Council, she gained experience working as a graduate research assistant and earned a master’s degree in management at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

“We are very excited to have Joana re-join us at the Council,” said Brian Healy, USGC director of global ethanol market development. “Joana’s background and additional experience are critical in supporting our expanding global program and further contribute to her recognized value as a member of the Council’s ethanol team.”

Hassan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science at Mount Holyoke College.
