Company to import flex-fuel cars from Brazil

The California-based Zero Air Pollution (ZAP) Company has signed an agreement with Brazilian automaker Obvio Automotoveiculos of Rio de Janeiro to import over 50,000 flexible fuel vehicles over the next three years. ZAP has been working with Obvio to ensure the vehicles comply with U.S. regulatory requirements and safety standards. ZAP plans to roll out the Brazilian-made cars by 2007. ZAP is also looking to distribute Obvio vehicles in Europe and Asia.
