IRFA announces 2006 officers

The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA), formed in 2002 to represent the state's biodiesel and ethanol producers, elected its executive committee members and officers to its board of directors during its annual meeting Dec. 7. The board of directors includes President Sam Cogdill of Amaizing Energy, a 40 MMgy ethanol plant in Denison, Iowa; Vice President Walt Wendland of Golden Grain Energy, a 40 MMgy ethanol plant in Mason City, Iowa; Secretary Bill Couser of Lincolnway Energy, a 50 MMgy ethanol plant under construction in Nevada, Iowa; and Treasurer Jim Meyer of Western Iowa Energy, a 30 MMgy biodiesel plant under construction in Wall Lake, Iowa. New officers serve a one-year term. EP
