Western Sugar sells ideal ethanol plant site

Bernie Blach of Realtech Real Estate, broker of a property for Western Sugar, said Western Sugar's plant for sale in Greeley, Colo., may be compatible with the ethanol process and is priced much lower than what new construction would cost. "It has good rail service right off of the Union Pacific Railroad, sizeable industrial structures and silos originally used to store sugar, which could easily be converted to store corn or other feedstocks," Blach said.
