Glacial Lakes Energy (GLE) CEO Tom Branhan recently announced plans for a proposed ethanol plant near Aberdeen, S.D. The plant will produce either 50 MMgy or 100 MMgy, depending on the results of an ongoing feasibility study. Branhan told EPM that land options and utilities are in place, with an equity drive slated for June. Fagen Inc. is expected to build the plant using an ICM Inc. process design. Branhan also said GLE's Watertown, S.D., plant will begin doubling capacity to 100 MMgy this summer.
