GeoNet receives permit for U.S. Virgin Islands facility

GeoNet Ethanol LLC received its Coastal Zone Management permit to construct an ethanol dehydration facility on the island of St. Croix, part of the U.S. Virgin Islands. According to GeoNet Ethanol, based in the Virgin Islands, the new plant will produce more than 100 MMgy of dehydrated ethanol to be sold in the United States. Brazil-based Dedini Industrias de Base will supply the facility with hydrous ethanol. Construction is slated to begin in late 2006.
