In a multi-plant strategy, Green Spirit Fuels (GSF) has made a deal that is expected to lead to the construction of its second ethanol production plant. The United Kingdom-based company has partnered with Huntsman Pigments, an international chemical company, to develop an ethanol production project that will be built on land adjacent to a titanium dioxide manufacturing site in Grimsby, England. The new site, called Humber Biofuels, will complement GSF's Wessex Biofuels plant currently under construction in Somerset, England, which will use wheat as a feedstock.
