Lugar encourages energy cooperation with Chile

By | June 05, 2007
Prior to the World Economic Forum on Latin America in Santiago, Chile, Sen. Dick Lugar, R-Ind., asked the Bush Administration to broaden U.S. relations with Chile in energy cooperation. This move would complement the recent initiative between the United States and Brazil to accelerate the development of sustainable biofuels, he said. Lugar's request followed the March introduction of legislation that would expand the partnership between Brazil and the United States to other interested countries.
