Representatives from the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, N.D., met with ethanol producers to gather input on its new biofuels technology program, which will enroll its first class in the fall of 2008. The two-year associate degree will include a core curriculum in basic sciences, plus specialized courses on instrumentation, process control, quality control and microbiology, according to Harvey Link, NDSCS vice president for institutional advancement. The course also includes an internship. The biofuels training program is one of several new courses that involve emerging technologies such as nanoscience, micro science and biotechnology.
