By Susanne Retka Schill | May 25, 2012

Ethanol producers representing 87 percent of the industry’s installed capacity will arrive in Minneapolis next week for the 28th International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo. Sponsored by Ethanol Producer Magazine and organized by BBI International, the June 4-7 event at the Minneapolis convention center is expected to draw over 2,000 people.

General sessions at the conference include a panel of ethanol producer CEOs talking about life after the blenders credit, presentations from leaders of industry associations and the companies on the cusp of commercializing cellulosic ethanol. Breakout sessions organized in four broad topics – production, management, coproducts and cellulosic ethanol – will provide updates on the research, products and services aimed at the continual improvement of the industry. A preconference seminar is planned for Monday, June 4, for professionals new to the ethanol industry who would benefit from an overview of the history, process, economics and politics of ethanol. Ethanol 101 will include presentations from a number of industry veterans sharing their experiences and knowledge. To see the full agenda and register, click here
