CoBank predicts stable outlook for ethanol over next 2 quarters

UAI: Vehicle emissions testing shows ethanol blends are cleaner

The U.S. EPA on Oct. 15 issued its final Fuels Streamlining Rule, which streamlines the agency’s existing regulations for gasoline, diesel and other fuels. It does not, however, change the stringency of existing fuel quality standards.

EIA: Ethanol production up 2%, stocks up by 2%


U.S. fuel ethanol production increased by nearly 2 percent the week ending Oct. 9, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Oct. 15. Stocks also increased by approximately 2 percent.

EPA: 2 additional SRE petitions filed for compliance year 2019


The U.S. EPA released updated small refinery exemption (SRE) data on Oct. 15, reporting two additional SRE petitions have been filed for Renewable Fuel Standard compliance year 2019. No other changes were made to the agency’s SRE data.

US ethanol exports fall 12%, DDGS exports down 7% for 2019-‘20


U.S. exports of ethanol were down approximately 12 percent for the 2019-’20 marketing year, which closed Aug. 31, while exports of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) were down nearly 7 percent, according to the U.S. Grains Council.

U.S. corn production is up 8 percent from last year, and forecast at 14.7 billion bushels, according to the Crop Production report issued by USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service on Oct. 9.
