MEMS USA plans another biomass-to-ethanol facitlity

California-based MEMS USA Inc. has announced that Hearst, Ontario, will be the site of Hearst Ethanol One, a biomass-to-fuel ethanol conversion facility. The plant will be majority-owned by MEMS USA and C. Villeneuve Construction, both of which will design, engineer, build and operate the biomass plant. The US$150 million facility will produce 227 million liters (59 MMgy) annually. The plant will utilize wood waste and forest waste as its primary feedstocks.
