GEA PHE Systems has begun production of brazed plate heat exchangers at its new facility in York, Pa. "York is the center of U.S.-American refrigeration and air conditioning engineering with excellently qualified engineers and specialists," said Kirby Lindtveit, senior vice president of sales. The German-based company invested $60 million in the York facility, which took just five months to build. A second construction stage, which will allow production of gasketed brazed heat exchangers, will be completed by the end of 2007. GEA PHE Systems has production facilities in Sarstedt, Germany, Ystad, Sweden, and Pune, India.
