For the first time ever, gasoline consumed by American drivers in May contained more than 11% ethanol, on average.
After an E15 implementation bill passed unanimously out of the California State Legislature, the Renewable Fuels Association is turning its attention to the annual conference of the California Fuels and Convenience Alliance.
U.S. fuel ethanol production fell by 1% the week ending Sept. 4, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Sept. 10. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up nearly 15 while exports expanded by more than 41%.
The U.S. exported 199.5 million gallons of ethanol and 1.1 million metric tons of distiller grains in July, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on Sept. 3. Exports of both products were up when compared to July 2025.
Total operatable U.S. biofuel production capacity was at 25.299 billion gallons per year in June, essentially unchanged when compared to the previous month, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Aug. 31.
