House Biofuels Caucus requests pandemic relief for biofuels Members of the House Biofuels Caucus sent a letter to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack on June 9 urging the USDA to provide COVID-19 relief to biofuels producers under the agency’s Pandemic Assistance for Producers program. Nevada governor signs bill allowing E15 Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak on June 4 signed AB 411 into law. The bill allows sales of E15 within the state and requires the State Board of Agriculture to adopt rules governing sales of the fuel blend by July 2022. READ MORE SHARE
	Chief Ethanol Fuels partners with Catahoula on CCS Chief Industries Inc., a company that operates two ethanol plants in Nebraska, announced on June 9 it has entered into an agreement with Catahoula Resources to jointly develop carbon capture and sequestration (CSS) within the state. WASDE increases estimate for 2020-’21 corn use in ethanol The USDA increased its forecast for 2020-‘21 corn use in ethanol in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released June 10. The season-average farm price for corn was unchanged. READ MORE SHARE
New poll finds growing bipartisan support for RFS, ethanol A recent poll found that voter support for the RFS has hit its highest levels in at least five years. Meanwhile, the tracking poll shows support for the use of biofuels like low-carbon ethanol has remained consistently high, according to the RFA. READ MORE SHARE
	USDA: US exports 113 million gallons of ethanol in April The U.S. exported 112.68 million gallons of ethanol and 862,736 metric tons of distillers grains in April, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on June 8. EIA increases 2021, 2022 forecasts for ethanol blending The U.S. Energy Information Administration maintained its forecasts for 2021 and 2022 ethanol production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released June 8. The outlook for 2021 and 2022 ethanol blending, however, was increased. READ MORE SHARE
Aemetis signs $200 million agreement for low carbon biofuels Aemetis Inc. announced on June 14 it has signed a biofuels offtake agreement with international renewable fuels supplier Murex LLC for an estimated $200 million of low carbon biofuels to be delivered during 2021 to 2023. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: Ethanol production up 3%, stocks up 2% U.S. fuel ethanol production was up more than 3 percent the week ending June 4, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on June 9. Weekly ending stocks of ethanol were up nearly 2 percent. READ MORE SHARE
Sugar Valley Energy project to issue green bonds California Ethanol + Power (CE+P) on June 7 announced that its Sugar Valley Energy advanced biofuel project has been verified for Green Bond Financing through the alignment of the project with the Green Bond Principles established by the ICMA.
