Last summer, record crowds took advantage of free admission and packed the grandstands at four sold-out Jam the Stands stock car racing events sponsored by the Minnesota Corn Growers Association. The promotion was such a success, MCGA is doing it again in 2013, this time at nine tracks throughout Minnesota.
 Admission is free and race fans will have an opportunity to win one of two $50 Visa gift cards throughout the evening courtesy of MCGA. Corn farmers will also be at each track to connect with race fans about the environmental and economic benefits of clean, renewable and homegrown ethanol.
 &ldquo;MCGA welcomes the opportunity to partner with Minnesota&rsquo;s passionate racing community to promote local ethanol,&rdquo; said Chad Willis, a member of the Minnesota Corn Research &amp; Promotion Council and chair of the National Corn Growers Association&rsquo;s ethanol committee. &ldquo;Free racing while getting the facts about homegrown ethanol makes for a great evening with your friends and family.&rdquo;
 At select races, fans can learn more about ethanol and renewable fuels by stepping inside the Biofuels Mobile Education Center. The 45-foot long mobile learning center will roll into six of the nine races for fans to learn more about ethanol fuel through interactive touch-screen computers, educational displays, movies and a tools to help people locate flex-fuel pumps in their area.
 Ethanol has a multiplier effect that benefits many economic sectors across Minnesota, including farming, manufacturing, transportation and construction. According to the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, ethanol generates $5 billion in total economic output and more than 12,600 jobs annually. Ethanol is also less energy intensive to produce than gasoline and helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 29 percent.
 A 56-pound bushel of corn generates 2.8 gallons of ethanol while also simultaneously generating 17.5 pounds of high-protein livestock feed.
