The winners of the first-ever Ethanol Producer Awards have been chosen.

Ethanol Producer Magazine collected nominations in five categories: The Good Neighbor Award, Board of the Year, Project of the Year, Collaboration of the Year and Workplace of the Year. Editorial staff and the magazine’s editorial board, made up of ethanol plant managers, selected the winners in each category, based on thoroughness of the nominations, relevancy to the categories, overall achievement, and the number of nominations submitted for each candidate.

The winners are as follows:

The Good Neighbor Award: Pacific Ethanol Magic Valley LLC, Burley, Idaho

Board of the Year: Chippewa Valley Ethanol Co., Benson, Minnesota

Project of the Year: Homeland Energy Solutions LLC, Lawler, Iowa, for its 30 MMgy expansion

Collaboration of the Year: Al-Corn, Claremont, Minnesota; Karges-Faulconbridge Inc., St. Paul, Minnesota; and McGough Construction, St. Paul, for Al-Corn’s expansion, as well as other project partnerships

Workplace of the Year: Midwest AgEnergy, parent of Dakota Spirit Ethanol, Spiritwood, North Dakota, and Blue Flint Ethanol, Underwood, North Dakota

Look for the June issue of Ethanol Producer Magazine to find out more about the winners and why they were chosen.
