U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by 1% the week ending Nov. 22, setting a new record high, according to data released by the U.S. EIA Nov. 27. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up more than 1% and exports were up 10%.
POET, the world’s largest producer of biofuels, has announced the company awarded nearly 150 initiatives through its 2024 Community Impact Grant Program. The combined value of those grants was more than $629,000.
Approximately 968,030 metric tons (MT) of U.S. corn, sorghum and their co-products worth $242 million were sold as a direct result of Export Exchange’s networking opportunities. DDGS was the most popular commodity, with 472,230 MT purchased.
Using technology developed by researchers working with ORNL’s Center for Bioenergy and Dartmouth College, Terragia Biofuel is targeting commercial biofuel production, including ethanol, from lignocellulose.
