VeraSun adds to management team

In late June, VeraSun Energy Corp. announced the appointment of Kurt Swenson, Keith Bruinsma and Darin Fedt to vice president positions, and the addition of Bryan Meier as vice president and controller.

Swenson, vice president of plant operations, will oversee VeraSun's three operating ethanol plants. Bruinsma, a cofounder of VeraSun Energy in 2001 and now a vice president of corporate development, will lead VeraSun's efforts to extract oil from distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) to be used in the production of biodiesel and the development of low-fat, high-protein DDGS. As a vice president of corporate development, a position Fedt assumed in March, he will lead greenfield site evaluations and developments, as well as other business opportunities. Meier brings more than 20 years of financial executive experience with publicly traded companies to VeraSun.
