Scherer Inc. has been in business since 1994 and has grown to over 90 employees. We produce products for various industries and customer groups. Our Mill Roll Division reconditions chilled cast mill and flaker rolls for the feed, soy, and flour production industries. We produce new rolls for all roller mills and roll stands, sharpen dull rolls, offer onsite service/exchange for feed mills, and sell new chilled cast rolls. We also produce replacement hardened steel rolls for the cattle feed industry, with locations in Sioux Falls, SD, Caldwell, ID and Orrville, OH. The Kernel Processor Division, created in 1999, specializes in kernel processors for self-propelled forage harvesters. We work with large OEMs, distributors, and dealers worldwide, offering complete kernel processor systems and replacement rolls. On April 1st, 2023, Scherer purchased Iowa Farm Automation (IFA) in Stanley, IA. IFA, a 40-year-old company, focused on feed production machinery and manufactured commercial and industrial roller mills. Scherer now offers a full product line of roller mills and continues to develop new products for the feed and specialty grinding industries.
