Position Overview
The operator technician position will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, including the centrifuges, dryers, RTO, DDGS receiving system, and grain handling equipment. The operator technician will provide support to all plant departments as needed during each shift with a primary focus on plant operations.
This position will manage specialized work efficiently with confidence and competence. If you are a task-oriented individual with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to your work, please consider applying.
Work schedule will vary depending on the shift assigned which will include 12-hour shifts. Must have the flexibility to work as needed which includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Employees can advance to a higher operator level based on completing company training programs.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work as needed which includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must live within a one (1) hour drive time of the plant location
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate in process or power plant technology
Previous experience in ethanol production
Previous experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience performing maintenance or mechanical duties
Grain handling experience
Knowledge and/or experience reading Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs)
Knowledge and/or experience with Distributed Control System (DCS)
Experience adhering strictly to regulatory and safety standards
Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
