We are currently looking for a Field Service Manager to support our Bioprocess and Ethanol business. This position would be located in Dexter MI, or Omaha NE. This person will be responsible for the business groups fleet, field operations, and P&L responsibilities for the Trucent' s Bioprocess Division. This person will also be responsible for the Regional Service Managers and their staff. We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. POSITION FUNCTIONS Field and Fleet Operations Oversight of schedule to ensure proper service and coverage of customer sites and projects. Communicate & coordinate field service efforts Regional Operations Managers. Review and approve field service work hours, billings, and expenses. Help assure the maintenance and professional appearance of equipment and personnel. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state & federal regulations. Comply with and assure compliance by all direct reports for all aspects of the Trucent Safety Program, including but not limited to hazard communication, PPE requirements, and safety training attendance. Provide technical assistance and resource to Field Service Personnel and Regional Operations Managers. Provide reports as required to demonstrate field services performance as it relates to divisional and corporate objectives. Communicate corporate office initiatives and relative information to direct reports. Establish work procedures and processes that support company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives. Review Service reports for accuracy content, professionalism and establishing processes around the assurance of completion of action items from the report. Assist where needed on the development of spare parts lists and critical parts as part of field service work or emergency customer breakdowns. Business Development Assist the Sales team as needed for technical and operational support for sale of additional services, equipment, etc. into existing and potential accounts. Contact customers to ensure satisfaction, assess customer needs beyond scope of work, and foster customer relationships & loyalty. Identify new business/account growth opportunities and bring to the attention of Sales. Support the preparation of customer engagements, contracts, and proposals. Assist during new account sale with respect to demonstrating field service protocols and reference. Financial Direct responsibility for the preparation and achievement of Group budgets and P&L objectives. Indirect responsibility for the preparation and achievement of Divisional budgets and P&L objectives. Manage expenses and company property within area of responsibility. Assist with creation of annualized capital expenses as required to maintain field services performance efficiencies, and objectives. Provide input as to annualized pay increases for direct reports. Human Resources Management Manage a team of direct reports and include training on equipment, coordinating service schedules, establishing annual objectives, and conducting performance appraisals. Maintain master preventative maintenance, customer, training and other regional records/files. Manage projects and logistics between operating divisions and regions to meet customer needs most effectively and efficiently. Provide and manage the pathway of training and qualification of new hires. Approve and manage time off for field service personnel while maintaining sufficient labor to meet schedule and unscheduled service needs by end users. Interview and hire personnel as per annualized plan and need to meet Field Service Demands. Complete and conduct annualized reviews of direct reports. Provide annualized work initiatives and objectives to direct reports to further develop and train reports to assure professional and personal advancement in support of the division and Trucent' s overall offerings in support of our customers. Marginal Functions: Perform onsite preventative maintenance and equipment modifications for optimal performance, as needed. Maintenance of technology/asset database, maintenance programs and asset scheduling. Perform job specific training & continuing education courses for direct reports. Oversight and management of Omaha parts inventory. Oversight and management of Omaha building and maintenance. Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area. Conduct onsite equipment training with customers as needed. Provide backup labor as a Field Service Technician as required as last option.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technical/equipment services industry, preferably in the chemical, and/or ethanol industry. A minimum of 5 years of formal management experience is required. Skills and Abilities (May be representative but not all-inclusive, of those commonly associated with this position): Ability to operate and troubleshoot all company separation equipment within assigned area of responsibility. Knowledge and understanding of fundamental theory of operation of separation technologies. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others. Advanced knowledge of the skill trades including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical. Ability to improvise and make judgment calls regarding equipment on the spot or as required. Strong mechanical aptitude. Strong Customer relations & problem resolution skills. Effective time management skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a group. Requires a high degree of diplomacy and the ability to deal with and influence people in all types of positions relative to inside and outside contacts. Travel Requirements: Extensive travel on company business.
