The commodity manager is a leadership position that directs the procurement of grain and executes the commodity strategy and manages commodity risk for the company. The commodity manager reports directly to the general manager. Duties: Manage long and short commodity position Manage corn basis adjustments and deferred cash bids Manage inventories for all commodities Create monthly reports for board meetings Manage railcar inventory Direct company grain origination program Use the tools available detailed in the risk management policy to protect risk and company margins Comply with the company risk management policy Attend conferences as needed to stay abreast with latest developments in the industry and commodities Consult with participating brokers on commodity trends Determine best cause of action when buying corn Manage sales of ethanol, wet cake, and distillers grains Manage company carbon reduction efforts and compliance with carbon markets Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies

Five years minimum grain marketing experience Bachelors degree in Ag business or similar field is preferred strong computer skills (Excel, powerpoint) Must be detail oriented Good problem solver Able to handle stress full situations Good communication skills Driven to learn
