Delegates of the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council elected Jay Reiners of the Nebraska Corn Board as chairman at its 66th Annual Board of Delegates Meeting. The event took place July 29-31 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Purdue and Deere have teamed up to launch the Purdue Biofuels Consortium. The three-year collaboration brings together prominent engine manufacturers, biofuel producers, trade groups and Purdue researchers.
The U.S. Forest Service on Aug. 5 awarded $300,000 to LanzaTech Inc. to support design work for a proposed biorefinery in Bellemont, Arizona, what would produce wood-based ethanol. The project would create a new market for low-value woody biomass.
The government of Brazil on Aug. 12 published a decree that establishes rules and regulations for the country’s sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) mandate, formally referred to as the National Sustainable Aviation Fuel Program (ProBioQAV).
The USGBC recently hosted a high-level delegation from Guatemala for a trade and learning mission to Washington, D.C. and Indiana to strengthen bilateral cooperation and support the country’s national E10 ethanol blending program.
