US. Fuel ethanol production fell by nearly 8% the week ending Jan. 24, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Jan. 29. Stocks of fuel ethanol were down nearly 1% and exports were up 6%.
The USDA recently released its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report for January, reporting that corn use for fuel ethanol production in November 20024 was up 2% when compared to the same month of 2023.
A recent study sponsored by the USGC highlighted the significant advantages of including DDGS in rainbow trout diets. The research demonstrated that a 20% inclusion rate of DDGS yielded the most favorable impact on fish weight and growth.
UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association, has announced sugarcane processing was down significantly during the second half of December. Ethanol production was down only slightly due to high levels of corn ethanol production.
The USGC was awarded a second round of funding from the USDA under its Regional Agriculture Promotion Program. The award will disperse $16 million to the USGC for use in developing markets for U.S. agricultural exports.
