POET’s partnership with a thermal battery technology provider at its Big Stone City, South Dakota, ethanol plant displaces natural gas using surplus capacity and efficient energy storage.
U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by more than 2% the week ending Aug. 21, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Aug. 26. Ethanol stocks were up slightly while exports were up 26%.
U.S. fuel ethanol production fell by nearly 3% the week ending Aug. 14, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Aug. 19. Stocks of fuel ethanol expanded by more than 1% and exports were up 18%.
U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by 1% the week ending Aug. 7, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Aug. 12. Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol were also up 1% while exports fell by nearly 46%.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration increased its forecast for 2026 fuel ethanol production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released Aug. 11. The outlook for 2026 fuel ethanol exports also increased.
