EPM has collected information on 120 U.S. ethanol plants that are capturing their fermentation carbon dioxide—or intend to—for one of three principal purposes: conventional utilization, sequestration or next-gen transformation.
USGC Regional Ethanol Manager for the EU, U.K. and Canada Stephanie Larson in September met with Canadian officials to discuss how the U.S. industry can further support the country’s ongoing transition to higher ethanol blending rates.
U.S. fuel ethanol production was up more than 3% the week ending Oct. 4, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Oct. 9. Ethanol stocks were down nearly 6% and exports were up 38%.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration increased its forecast for 2025 fuel ethanol production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released Oct. 8. The outlook for 2024 ethanol production was maintained.
The U.S. exported 141.19 million gallons of ethanol and 1.12 million metric tons of distillers grains during August, according to data released by the USDA on Oct. 8. Exports of both products were up when compared to the previous year.
