Green Plains Inc. released Q3 financial results on Oct. 31, reporting improved ethanol margins. Company officials discussed the successful startup of Green Plains’ Clean Sugar Technology facility and the planned retirement of CFO Jim Stark.
UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association, has announced sugarcane processing was up during the first half of October. Ethanol production and sales were also up when compared to the same period of last year.
U.S. fuel ethanol production was up slightly the week ending Oct. 25, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Oct. 30 Stocks of fuel ethanol fell by 2% and exports were down more than 43%.
Whitefox Technologies has announced the successful installation of the Whitefox ICE XL membrane dehydration system at Western Plains Energy LLC ethanol plant in Oakley, Kansas. The solution enables the plant to reduce natural gas use by 50%.
KATZEN International Inc. on Oct. 23 announced the completion and startup of the INPASA Agroindustrial S/A ethanol plant expansion project in Sinop, Mato Grosso, Brazil. The project boosted the plant’s capacity 554.76 MMgy.
