In late August, representatives from the U.S. Grains Council and the U.S. ethanol industry embarked on an exploratory mission to China, aimed at gaining critical insights into the country’s ethanol market and policy landscape.
U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by 2% the week ending Sept. 27, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Oct. 2. Stocks of fuel ethanol were down slightly, and exports were up 17%.
Comstock Inc. has announced the execution of an exclusive license agreement and cooperative research and development agreement with NREL involving technologies developed by NREL and MIT for conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into SAF.
The government of Illinois on Sept. 30 announced Crysalis Biosciences Inc. will receive incentives under the state’s REV Illinois program to support its SAF project under development in Sauget, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri.
U.S. ethanol capacity expanded in July, while renewable diesel capacity fell and biodiesel capacity held steady, according to data released by the EIA on Sept. 30. Feedstock consumption was up when compared to both the previous month and July 2023.
