U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by 1% the week ending Nov. 22, setting a new record high, according to data released by the U.S. EIA Nov. 27. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up more than 1% and exports were up 10%.
The Japanese government announced its intention for the country’s gasoline to be blended with 10% ethanol (E10) by 2030 and E20 by 2040, a move that will have significant benefits for the country and its consumers.
POET, the world’s largest producer of biofuels, has announced the company awarded nearly 150 initiatives through its 2024 Community Impact Grant Program. The combined value of those grants was more than $629,000.
The Renewable Fuels Association is urging the California Air Resources Board to do more to ensure the integrity of imported used cooking oil (UCO) and tallow for biomass-based diesel production under the state’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard.
