U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by 1% the week ending Nov. 22, setting a new record high, according to data released by the U.S. EIA Nov. 27. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up more than 1% and exports were up 10%.
The Japanese government announced its intention for the country’s gasoline to be blended with 10% ethanol (E10) by 2030 and E20 by 2040, a move that will have significant benefits for the country and its consumers.
Approximately 968,030 metric tons (MT) of U.S. corn, sorghum and their co-products worth $242 million were sold as a direct result of Export Exchange’s networking opportunities. DDGS was the most popular commodity, with 472,230 MT purchased.
