The USDA on Jan. 10 awarded $60 million in Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program grants. The funding supports 70 projects in 24 states that aim to increase consumer access to higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel.
The USDA on Jan. 10 awarded $120 million in grants to 516 projects under the Rural Energy for America Program. One of those awards will support an improvement project at Nebraska-based KAAPA Energy LLC.
U.S. corn production was down 3% last year, according to the 2024 Crop Production Annual Summary released Jan. 10 by the USDAs National Agricultural Statistics Service. Corn yields set a record high.
Canada-based Greenfield Global Inc. is offering its operational, full-staffed 48 MMgy fuel ethanol plant in Winnebago, Minnesota, for sale via auction, according to Chabina Energy Partners LLC. Non-binding indications of interest are due Jan. 27.
Aemetis Inc. on Jan. 13 announced the receipt of $11 million from the sale of IRA investment tax credits generated by a solar electricity generation project at the Keyes ethanol plant and two dairy biogas digesters built as Aemetis Biogas projects.
