Growth Energy welcomed more than 125 biofuel and farm voices from 19 states to Washington, D.C., Sept. 15-17 for the 17th annual Growth Energy Biofuels Summit. The event features remarks from several leading biofuel champions.
ACE has announced that Ben Rhodes, executive director of the Nebraska Ethanol Board, will serve as ACE’s chief marketing officer beginning Sept. 28. Rhodes will join ACE’s Ron Lamberty will take on the new title of chief strategy officer.
Growth Energy relaunched its “E15 Now” campaign pressing for Senate action on a nationwide, permanent legislative fix to allow the year-round sale of E15, a higher ethanol fuel blend that costs 30 cents less per gallon on average than regular fuel.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration increased its forecast for 2027 fuel ethanol production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released Sept. 9. The outlook for 2027 fuel ethanol exports was also revised up.
As Californians continue to face the highest fuel prices in the country, the Renewable Fuels Association on Sept. 14 urged the California Air Resources Board to quickly finalize proposed regulations allowing the sale of lower-cost E15.
