The European Commission has finalized its decision to apply no countervailing duties in the anti-subsidy case, which Ethanol Producer Magazine previously reported had been terminated. The final step in the process was to formally publish it in the Official Journal of the European Union.
Renewable Fuels Association and Growth Energy issued a joint statement, saying it was a good decision. &ldquo;The RFA and Growth Energy appreciated the Commission&rsquo;s thoughtfulness and careful consideration of the facts and believe similar conclusion will be drawn on the anti-dumping investigation,&rdquo; the statement said.
A decision on the anti-dumping case is expected the end of February. <a href="http://www.ethanolproducer.com/articles/9395/eu-member-states-vote-to-go-ahead-with-anti-dumping-tariff" target="_blank">Duties could still be imposed</a> on U.S. ethanol imported to European countries.
