The USGC was invited by the Latin American Energy Organization to participate in a panel focused on liquid biofuels and their role in decarbonizing transportation during the VIII Energy Week event held in Uruguay.
The attorneys general of Iowa and Nebraska on Nov. 29 filed a motion for summary judgement with a U.S. District Court in Iowa regarding the U.S. EPA’s failure to act on petitions filed by eight Midwestern governors to allow year-round E15 sales.
U.S. fuel ethanol production was down 1 percent the week ending Nov. 24, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Nov. 29. Stocks of fuel ethanol were also down 1 percent with exports up nearly 94 percent.
The RFA is calling on U.S. delegates at the 2023 United Nations climate change conference (COP28) to “prominently highlight the U.S. biofuels industry’s remarkable contributions to the fight against global climate change.”
A coalition of over 20 organizations and companies launched the Partnership for Electric Pathways to work with the U.S. EPA to secure a viable pathway for renewable electricity to get credit under EPA's Renewable Fuel Standard program.
