U.S. fuel ethanol production expanded by 1% the week ending Aug. 7, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Aug. 12. Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol were also up 1% while exports fell by nearly 46%.
The USDA maintained its forecast for 2026-’27 corn use in ethanol in its latest WASDE report, released Aug. 12. The agency increased its forecast for corn production, with an acreage increase partially offset by lower expected yields.
USGBC held its 66th Annual Board of Delegates meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The meeting spotlighted impactful conversations around new markets, trade policy impacts, strengthening supply chains and highlighted USGBC program successes.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration increased its forecast for 2026 fuel ethanol production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released Aug. 11. The outlook for 2026 fuel ethanol exports also increased.
The Nebraska Corn Board is accepting grant applications for ethanol infrastructure support, which will help Nebraska fuel retailers add or expand higher ethanol blend options, such as E15. The application deadline is Oct. 30.
