The USDA maintained its forecast for 2023-’24 corn use in ethanol in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released Dec. 8. The overall outlook for 2023-’24 U.S. corn is for higher exports and lower ending stocks.

The U.S. exported 117.09 million gallons of ethanol and 896,708 metric tons of distillers grains in October, according to data released by the USDA on Dec. 6. Exports of both products were up when compared to October 2022.
