USGC Regional Ethanol Manager for the EU, U.K. and Canada Stephanie Larson in September met with Canadian officials to discuss how the U.S. industry can further support the country’s ongoing transition to higher ethanol blending rates.
The U.S. exported 141.19 million gallons of ethanol and 1.12 million metric tons of distillers grains during August, according to data released by the USDA on Oct. 8. Exports of both products were up when compared to the previous year.
The California Senate will not take up E15 legislation unanimously passed by the California Assembly earlier this month during the legislature’s special session to prevent gas price spikes. The bill aimed to accelerate the state’s adoption of E15.
UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association, has announced sugarcane processing and ethanol production during the first half of September remained higher than last year despite the impact of recent fires. Ethanol sales were up slightly.
In late August, representatives from the U.S. Grains Council and the U.S. ethanol industry embarked on an exploratory mission to China, aimed at gaining critical insights into the country’s ethanol market and policy landscape.
