Archer Daniels Midland Co. released fourth quarter financial results on Feb. 4, reporting increased operating profit for its Vantage Corn Processor subsegment on higher ethanol export volumes and improved margins.
During its first quarter meeting, the ACE board of directors elected its 2025 officers, who also comprise the organization’s executive committee. Dave Sovereign, chairman of Golden Grain Energy’s board, will serve as president.
Blue Biofuels has signed an agreement to acquire 35.5 acres of land in Frostproof, Florida. The company plans to develop a 3 MMgy facility on the site. Planned expansion projects would boost capacity to 100 MMgy of cellulosic ethanol and SAF.
U.S. operatable biofuel production capacity was unchanged in November 2024, according to data released by the U.S. EIA on Jan. 31. Feedstock consumption was up from both the previous month and November 2023.
On Jan. 30, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association congratulated Doug Burgum on being confirmed as U.S. Secretary of the Interior. He will also chair President Donald Trump’s new National Energy Council.
