The USDA on Nov. 26 confirmed its forecast that FY 2025 ethanol exports will set a record in terms of volume. The expected value of those ethanol exports, however, was reduced, according to the agency’s latest quarterly trade outlook.
U.S. ethanol and biodiesel capacity held steady in September, while renewable diesel capacity fell slightly, according to data released by the U.S. EIA on Nov. 29. Feedstock consumption was down when compared to the previous month.
The U.K.’s sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) mandate was signed into law on Nov. 18 and is set to come into force on Jan. 1, 2025. The government has also launched a new Jet Zero Taskforce to revamp efforts to make greener air travel a reality.
The International Trade Administration has announced its Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee will hold a virtual opening meeting on Dec. 3. The meeting is the first of REEEAC’s current charter term.
The Japanese government announced its intention for the country’s gasoline to be blended with 10% ethanol (E10) by 2030 and E20 by 2040, a move that will have significant benefits for the country and its consumers.
