Aemetis Inc. July 9 announced that its ethanol and renewable natural gas subsidiaries have received funds from the sales of $18 million of Section 45Z clean fuel production tax credits.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration increased its forecast for 2027 fuel ethanol production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released July 7. The forecast for 2026 fuel ethanol production was revised down.

U.S. fuel ethanol production fell by 2% the week ending July 3, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on July 8. Stocks of fuel ethanol fell 3%, reaching a six-month low, while exports were up 59%.
