U.S. fuel ethanol production was up nearly 10% the week ending Jan. 31, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Feb. 5. Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol were up 3% and exports were down 41%.
The U.S. exported 194.42 million gallons of ethanol in December, bringing export volumes for the full year 2024 to a record 1.91 billion gallons, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on Feb. 5.
Growth Energy on Feb. 5 applauded the release of data showing that U.S. exports of ethanol set a new record in 2024. In total, the U.S. exported 1.9 billion gallons of ethanol worth $4.3 billion in 2024,
Archer Daniels Midland Co. released fourth quarter financial results on Feb. 4, reporting increased operating profit for its Vantage Corn Processor subsegment on higher ethanol export volumes and improved margins.
U.S. operatable biofuel production capacity was unchanged in November 2024, according to data released by the U.S. EIA on Jan. 31. Feedstock consumption was up from both the previous month and November 2023.
