The USDA’s NASS estimates that 91.5 million acres of corn will be planted in the U.S. for 2024, down 3% or 3.17 million acres when compared to last year, according to the agency’s annual Acreage report, which was released June 28.
Growth Energy on June 27 filed a motion to intervene in a case brought by the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers against the U.S. EPA. The case aims to force EPA to lower the 2023 cellulosic biofuel blending obligations under the RFS.
